Meet our Founder

For more than 25 years, Janell Frontone has led complex transformations where the stakes were high, the environments were demanding, and execution mattered. She has worked at the intersection of strategy, technology, and operations. As CIO, she led a $70 million technology portfolio, guided more than 200 professionals, and helped architect a $550 million system modernization designed to transform how an entire organization worked. On paper, the components for success were all there. Smart people. Significant investment. Clear strategic intent. But what she experienced inside organizations told a different story.

Build Strong Roots. Lead With Clarity. Execute With Strength. Performance, By Design.

Recognizing the Patterns

When Janell stepped into the CIO role, the organization was not failing. It was functioning, but not performing. Culture was fractured. Trust was inconsistent. Progress was slower than it should have been. The team was capable, even high performing in pockets. But across the system there was friction. Priorities shifted. Decisions stalled. Fire drills became the default operating mode. Leaders worked harder, but outcomes did not improve at the same rate. What she saw was not a talent issue. It was not a strategy issue. It was a design issue. There was no cohesive operating system connecting how leaders led, how decisions were made, and how work moved through the organization.

Asking Different Questions

Instead of continuing to push for better execution through effort, Janell stepped back and asked a different question. What if the problem is not how hard people are working, but how the organization is designed to work? That question changed everything. She began to approach the organization as an interconnected system, one where leadership behavior, decision flow, and execution mechanisms had to be intentionally aligned. Not optimized in isolation. Designed to work together.

Building for Execution

Janell introduced a structured, architecture driven approach focused on three core shifts: aligning leadership behavior around shared priorities and expectations, clarifying how decisions were made and how accountability moved through the system, and rebuilding the operating environment so execution could flow without constant intervention. This was not a traditional transformation effort. It was not driven by tools or frameworks alone. It was a redesign of how the organization actually operated. Within one year the results were clear: employee engagement outpaced organizational benchmarks by 10 percent, operational maturity scores doubled, and confidence in execution returned. But the most meaningful change was less visible. Leaders trusted the system again. Teams moved with clarity instead of urgency. Execution became consistent, not situational.

The Work Today

That experience became the foundation for Frontone Advisory. Janell realized that many organizations face the same challenge. They invest in strategy. They invest in technology. They invest in talent. But they do not invest in designing how those elements work together. Frontone Advisory was built to solve that problem, through the OAK Method, which rebuilds the operating architecture beneath execution, and the Grove, which sustains leadership and growth over time.

Today, Janell partners with CEOs and executive teams ready to move beyond reactive execution and build organizations that perform with clarity and consistency. Her work is grounded in a simple but powerful principle: organizations do not transform through intention. Organizations transform through design. During her engagements she helps executive teams align around what truly matters, create clarity in how decisions are made, build operating systems that support consistent performance, and strengthen the culture to support lasting change. This work is not theoretical. It is practical, structured, and measurable.
